Meadow Drive Learners “Care” for Their Teddy Bears

On Oct. 24, Meadow Drive learners had a hands-on experience learning about safety at the Teddy Bear Clinic, a free injury prevention program sponsored by the Trauma Centers at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island.
During the program, learners first explored important safety topics, including car and helmet safety, in a fun and interactive way. Then, they stepped into the roles of doctors and nurses, treating their “injured” stuffed animals during the Teddy Bear Clinic portion of the program.
The event was filled with laughter, learning and excitement as the learners practiced caring for others while gaining valuable lessons on injury prevention.
Meadow Drive thanks NYU Langone for providing this engaging program that combines safety education and hands-on fun for our youngest learners.
