The district is #MineolaProud to congratulate high school student-musicians Brooke Anzalone and Sienna Marcial on being selected to participate in the 2026 New York State School Music Association All-State Music Festival, taking place Dec. 3-6 in Rochester.

Under the guidance of Vocal Music teacher Dr. Megan Messina, both seniors achieved the honor of being named to the elite All-State Treble Chorus as Alto 2s.

Selection for All-State is one of the highest honors for high school musicians in New York. Over 6,000 sophomores and juniors statewide audition each year, with only 600 accepted. To qualify, students must achieve a perfect score during a rigorous formal audition that includes a solo performance, thirteen scales and a sight-reading exam.

During the festival in Rochester, Brooke and Sienna will rehearse and perform alongside top student-musicians from across New York State under the direction of nationally recognized guest conductors.
